On Thursday, the Dodgers will face Matt Kemp and the San Diego Padres for the first time this spring in a game that will draw added attention for reasons outside of baseball.

According to Bob Nightengale of USA TODAY Sports, actor and comedian Will Ferrell is going to play all nine positions in Thursday’s Cactus League games:

As more details were made available, it was announced Ferrell will play a total of 10 positions across five Cactus League games. His day will begin at the Seattle Mariners-Oakland Athletics game, and conclude when the Dodgers face the Padres, moved from a 1:05 p.m. PT start to 6:15 p.m. PT, at Peoria Sports Complex.

Thursday’s appearances are in conjunction with a special HBO is filming that is dedicated to fighting cancer and raising cancer awareness. Earlier in the year, Ferrell filmed a scene for Daddy’s Home at a New Orleans Pelicans game in which he threw a basketball at a Pelicans cheerleader.

As for previous baseball stunts, the Hollywood actor was ejected after throwing one pitch in a Minor League game back in 2010 and had a pizza delivered to him prior to throwing out the first pitch at a Chicago Cubs game in 2012.

In terms of on-the-field product, Hyun-Jin Ryu and James Shields will take the mound for their respective teams under the lights at Peoria Sports Complex.
