Animated: Carl Crawford Makes Great Diving Catch Last Night

In last night’s 3-2 loss to the Angels, Dodgers left fielder Carl Crawford made a great sliding catch to rob Angels third baseman Alberto Callaspo of an extra-base hit.

Without center fielder Matt Kemp, manager Don Mattingly put Andre Ethier in center and had Scott Van Slyke in right as Crawford hasn’t played center field since his days with the Rays.



So far this season, Crawford is hitting .293 with five home runs and 13 RBIs and has been a nice surprise leading off for the Dodgers this season. Acquired in the mid-season last year, Crawford didn’t play a game with the Dodgers until opening day as he was recovering from Tommy John surgery.
