On Monday Corey Seager was named the 2016 Jackie Robinson NL Rookie of the Year, bringing the award back to Los Angeles for the first time since 1996. He went up against teammate Kenta Maeda and center fielder for the Nationals, Trea Turner; however, with a slash-line of .308/.365/.512, he was the clear favorite to win the award.

After the award was announced, the All-Star Shortstop jumped on a conference call with all of the major media outlets, including us here at Dodgers Nation. There he discussed his reaction to being honored as the NL Rookie of the Year and the journey that led him to it.
