Dodger News And Rumors: Mattingly Voices His Opinion On Team

[new_royalslider id=”35″] After a disappointing series loss to the Chicago White Sox earlier this week, Los Angeles Dodgers manager Don Mattingly voiced his frustrations about the team’s recent play and too much focusing being placed on individuals, rather than the team.

Mattingly didn’t name any specific players, but most of the attention the team has gotten this season has been about the crowded outfield and Hanley Ramirez’s contract. Last season, Mattingly voiced a similar displeasure, and called for the need of “grinders” on the team. Shortly after, the Dodgers went on a historic 42-8 run that culminated in an NL West title and trip to the NLCS.

The Dodgers haven’t played to their potential this season and with the added pressure of having the highest payroll in baseball history, the season has been disappointing thus far. The Dodgers are currently one game above .500 and are 8.5 games back of the NL West leaders, San Francisco Giants.

  1. Instead of taking, he needs to start doing his job, he got lucky last year, his coaching had nothing to do with the dodgers turnaround witch saved his job. Come on Donny, prove to us that you deserved your new contract.
