In what’s become as much of a tradition as turkey on Thanksgiving, retailers continue to push the envelope with extended store hours and countless bargain buys. While the Los Angeles Dodgers aren’t necessarily going to the extreme as some companies, they’ll hold a ‘Blue Friday’ shopping event at the top of the Park stadium store.

The event calls for select merchandise to be discounted 20 percent, which can be applied on top of season ticket holder’s usual discount with their Dodger Pride Rewards card. Store hours will be 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Dodger dogs, nachos, peanuts and bottled beverages will be provided.

Fans will also have the opportunity to take photos with the Dodgers’ bobblehead character during the store’s hours. Furthermore, Justin Turner will be in attendance to sign autographs from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and he’ll be followed by Dodger Alumni League member Al Ferrara (1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.) and Dodger Alumni League member Tim Leary (3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.).

In addition to the Blue Friday event, the Dodgers also announced a Holiday Mall Tour. It’ll kick off Sunday, Dec. 7 at Westfield Topanga in Canoga Park, Calif. Orel Hershiser is scheduled to make an appearance and will sign autographs from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., as well as Turner from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The tour will continue the following weekend at the Glendale Galleria on Saturday, Dec. 13. Fernando Valenzuela will sign autographs from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., as will Nomar Garciaparra from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
