With seven new players coming to the Los Angeles Dodgers following their three-team, 13-player trade on Wednesday, it was known that the team would have to make some roster moves in order to clear some space for the additions.

On Thursday, the Dodgers announced that Luis Avilan, Jim Johnson, Mat Latos and Alex Wood were added to the 25-man roster. The corresponding moves for those four will be announced on Friday. Minor-leaguer Jose Peraza was added to the 40-man roster and optioned him to Triple-A. He will join the OKC Dodgers.

In order to clear room on the 40-man roster, the Dodgers placed Chris Hatcher on the 60-day disabled list. Brandon Beachy, Chris Heisey, Chin-hui Tsao and the newly acquired Mike Morse were all designated for assignment.

Beachy, Heisey and Tsao have all appeared in games for the Dodgers this season and could return to the team if they clear waivers. As for Morse, the front office could try to trade him if teams are interested, or he could decide to stay with the team or be released if he clears waivers.

Hatcher has made three appearances for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes in a rehab assignment, throwing three innings and allowing two earned runs. His last two appearances were scoreless.
