Dodgers Announce Uniform Numbers For 40-Man Roster

The Los Angeles Dodgers had quite the offseason and head into Spring Training with a handful of new faces.

There will be new faces in the starting lineup, starting rotation and bullpen. One thing that comes with new players is new numbers to memorize for each player, and fans can start remembering now that that the Dodgers announced the new numbers via Jon Weisman of Dodger Insider:



Here are the uniform numbers for the offseason additions to the 40-man roster:

9 Yasmani Grandal C
11 Jimmy Rollins IF
12 Juan Nicasio RHP
14 Enrique Hernandez IF
28 Chris Heisey OF
35 Brett Anderson LHP
36 Adam Liberatore LHP
38 Brandon McCarthy RHP
41 Chris Hatcher RHP
45 Joe Wieland RHP
46 Mike Bolsinger RHP
47 Howie Kendrick IF
51 Zach Lee LHP
62 Joel Peralta RHP
65 Austin Barnes C
67 Chris Reed LHP
83 Scott Schebler OF

In addition, outfielder Joc Pederson has switched to No. 31.

Pederson changes from the number 65 he wore last season, becoming the latest rookie sensation to wear number 31. Some of the bigger additions to the roster are up the middle in the infield and behind the plate. Rollins will wear his customary number that he made famous in Philadelphia, while Kendrick keeps his same number from the Anaheim. Grandal takes Dee Gordon’s number and it will be a new one for him in the big leagues.

All the new additions and minor leaguers added to the 40-man this winter will report with their numbers next month at Camelback Ranch.
