Dodgers Anounce DJ Steve Aoki To Perform Before April 19 Game (VIDEO)

There’s no place quite like Los Angeles when it comes to celebrities going to and performing at sporting events. That will be on display Sunday afternoon at Dodger Stadium, as the Dodgers announced Grammy-nominated producer and DJ Steve Aoki will perform and throw out the first pitch before the 1:10 p.m. game against the Colorado Rockies.

Aoki’s pregame performance will feature songs from his new album, Neon Future II, which is due to come out on May 12th and includes singles “Darker Than Blood” with Linkin Park and “I Love It When You Cry” with Moxie.

Aoki has completed multiple residencies at popular Las Vegas nightclubs and one of his signature moves is throwing cake on fans who attend his concert. That may be a bit more difficult than normal for the superstar DJ to complete as he’ll be performing on top of the Dodgers’ dugout.

The Dodgers announced the news with a promotional video that features Aoki sleeping in the Dodgers’ dugout, dreaming that he was an MLB player, only to be awakened by outfielder Andre Ethier, who tells him that he isn’t in the Majors, but he will be throwing out the first pitch.
