Dodgers Highlight: Home Run Frenzy Gives Dodgers 9-1 Win Over Mets

Dodger bats came alive in the sixth inning after a slow start on Saturday against the Mets in New York. Kenta Maeda had a solid outing going five innings strong. He allowed only two hits, two walks, and recorded three strikeouts on the night.

After last night’s loss, The Dodgers were eager to redeem themselves. Mets starter Noah Syndergaard threw behind Chase Utley in the top of the third inning, resulting in his ejection along with manager Terry Collins.

Utley fired back with a home run in the sixth inning, which gave his team momentum and broke the scoreless game. In the seventh, he hit a grand slam bringing home Joc Pederson, Howie Kendrick and Yasmani Grandal.

Yasiel Puig followed with an RBI single, scoring Adrian Gonzalez.

For the third inning in a row, The Dodgers were able to put runs on the board. Kendrick and Gonzalez both hit solo home runs in the top of the eighth.

Following up Lagares’ homer for the Mets in the bottom of the eighth, Seager answered by hitting a home run for himself in the ninth.

Casey Fien made his debut for The Dodgers pitching the ninth inning and striking out the side to seal the win.
