Dodgers Highlight Of The Week: Hanley Ramirez Homer Ties Game In Ninth

After concluding a nine-game road trip, the Los Angeles Dodgers returned home to play a four-game set with the San Francisco Giants.

The Giants won the first two games of the series, with the Dodgers taking the third and looking for the series split on Mother’s Day. The Giants took a 4-2 lead into the bottom of the ninth inning and called on Sergio Romo to close out the game, as he’s done many times throughout his career.

Romo retired the first batter he faced, then allowed a double to Dee Gordon, which brought up Hanley Ramirez as the tying run. Down 0-1 in the count, Ramirez hit a low line drive that carried just enough to clear the left field fence to tie the game.

Unfortunately for Ramirez, his efforts would go to waste as the Giants responded with three runs in the 10th and won the game, 7-4.
