Dodgers In Hot Pursuit For Jon Garland!
UPDATE #2: Jon said he didn’t want to leave AZ, but if he was going to a team he’d want to be in Los Angeles. He grew up a Dodger fan and is happy to be here. Torre said he plans on Garland starting Thursday, which is against AZ, but will leave that up to him.
UPDATE #1: Done deal for player to be named later. Also, Garland has a 4.29 ERA in 167.2 IP for the Diamondbacks this year. He was scheduled to start against us Wednesday, but now should be slotted in for us in place of Haeger or Padilla.
While it was thought the Rockies and Yankees were in the running for the service of Jon Garland, it turns out the Dodgers are in the front running for Garland. He would be a great addition to our starting lineup and provide us with playoff depth.
Ned Dodgers Nation approve, let’s get this deal done! I personally think if the deal is happening it’s already done.
