Dodgers Introduce New Food Options At Dodger Stadium For 2015 Season

With the Los Angeles Dodgers completing Cactus League play Wednesday, the club now returns to Los Angeles for a three-game Freeway Series to wrap up their exhibition schedule.

The Dodgers continued to trim away at the roster as they released Dustin McGowan, which left 39 players in camp. Along with the Dodgers needing to set their 25-man roster, preparations are well underway at Dodger Stadium for Opening Day.

Among them is a new security measure that will now require fans to pass through metal detectors before entering the stadium. While security is certainly important, it isn’t quite as intriguing as the new food options that were announced.

Added to the menu at Tommy Lasorda’s Trattoria, which is stationed in right field, are meatball marinara specialty fries and a meatball marinara cone. La Taqueria’s carne asada speciality fries, and breaded chicken sandwich and tenders will now be available on the field and reserve levels.

Fried Dodger Dogs have been added to the menu at the Extreme Loaded Dodger location (field level, aisle 48). The Dodgers also announced the additions of new bar locations on the loge level entrance plazas and behind home plate and two stands on the Top Deck.

Included is an expanded selection of beer choices, featuring Anheuser Busch’s full product line and local craft selections throughout the stadium. For those thinking about their waistlines, salads, sandwiches and snacks will be available at the new grab & go location on the field level next to the escalators.

Additionally, turkey burgers, veggie burgers, veggie dogs, veggie wraps and a veggie pizza will be sold at multiple locations throughout the stadium. Rounding out the changes and additions is the renovation of the The Lexus Dugout Club — the first since the club’s opening in 2000.
