Dodgers’ Justin Turner Exits Game After Being Hit on Right Hand
The Dodgers had a bit of a scare on Thursday morning in Philadelphia. Justin Turner was hit by a pitch on his right hand and exited the game for precautionary reasons.
Justin Turner bruised his right thumb. The X-rays were negative. You can exhale, I suppose.

It was reported that Justin Turner was able to grip a baseball after being hit, but decided to leave the game and get X-Rays just in case. It is no secret that Justin Turner is a massive force in this Dodgers’ lineup. Consistently being one of the Dodgers’ best hitters all year long. Over the course of the year, Turner has hit .321 with 21 home runs and 70 RBI’s. He has also held down third base extremely well. If it weren’t for a certain someone in Colorado, Turner would be a shoe-in for the Gold Glove Award.

With the Dodgers’ just one win away from clinching the NL West, it is likely that we will see Justin miss a few games and not push his injury. I know many Dodgers fans are frustrated with the recent slump, but the fatigue of September has really settled in and a break is very much needed. There should be a 3-4 day rest before playoffs begin, similar to the All-Star break; players will be able to rest their bones and prepare for the postseason. In the meantime look for Logan Forsythe to play third base in his stead.
Dodgers’ Offense Battles In 5-4 Victory Over The Phillies
I’m convinced Roberts is purposely juggling the lineup card every day in part just to irritate the fans. No one does this other than Mattingly. Roberts appears to be thin skinned when it comes to overwhelming criticism from Dodger fans. Get used to it Roberts.
