Player of the Day – Scott Barlow

The Dodgers’ sixth round pick in 2011, Barlow got off to a forgettable start as a pro, allowing 5 runs in 1.2 innings in his debut and missing 2012 due to Tommy John surgery. He finally returned last year to post a 6.20 ERA in 15 starts with the Raptors. This season, he’s off to a much better start, with a solid debut in relief on April 30 followed by his best outing as a pro. Scott carried a perfect game into the 6th inning on Monday, losing it after allowing a leadoff single in his final frame. The 21-year-old needs to stay healthy in order to re-establish himself as a prospect.
