Players of the Day – Jharel Cotton and Jose De Leon

Two prospects on a mission. Cotton has been sensational over his last five games. In that span, he’s allowed just six runs in 37 innings with 41 strikeouts. De Leon, recently promoted to Great Lakes, led the Pioneer League with 77 strikeouts before joining the Loons (the next closest pitcher had 52). Jose was excellent in his debut, only allowing a solo home run over six strong innings.
