Dodgers News: 30-Man Travel Roster To Australia Revealed

[new_royalslider id=”46″]

The Los Angeles Dodgers finished their Cactus League schedule this afternoon against the Colorado Rockies as preparations for their 17 hour flight to Australia were underway shortly after.

Earlier this morning, the Dodgers purchased Justin Turner’s contract, transferring Onelki Garcia to the 60-Day DL. It was also revealed that Chone Figgins is making the trip Down Under and Javy Guerra was designated for assignment to make room.

Carl Crawford won’t be making the trip and was placed on paternity leave as he won’t count against the 30-man roster. Brandon League, Dan Haren and Zack Greinke are likely the three exempt players that’ll stay in Arizona to rest and work on their mechanics.

Five players are also on the roster to participate in the exhibition game against Team Australia and could play if someone gets hurt.

By 7 pm PST on March 21, the Dodgers have to submit their 28-man roster with their three exempt players as mentioned above. Here’s how the travel roster breaks down:
