Dodgers News: Adrian Gonzalez Criticizes MLB and World Baseball Classic
Since Mexico’s surprise elimination after they defeated Venezuela 11-9 and were originally announced as the team advancing to the tiebreaker game, Adrian Gonzalez has been anything but happy.
Wednesday morning was no different.
After arriving back in Arizona to return to spring training, he was asked on his thoughts about the whole situation.
Gonzalez started off by announcing that he will never play in another World Baseball Classic, according to the LA Times’ Andy McCullough.
Adrian Gonzalez has returned to camp. He says he will never play in the WBC again: "It's good to be the hell out of that tournament."

He also threw a shot at the entire tournament, comparing it to the Little League World Series.
Adrian Gonzalez on the WBC: "They're trying to be the World Cup. But they're not even the Little League World Series."

Gonzalez was not ready to stop there either.
Gonzalez said he harangued MLB brass. He said he told them, "You have no integrity. Everything you guys are doing is a bunch of BS."

Eric Stephen of True Blue LA said that Mexico’s GM attempted to contact WBC officials before the game for rule clarification, to which he received no response.
Gonzalez said Mexico's GM asked WBC officials for clarification of the tiebreaker by email/phone 7 times before Venezuela game. No response

Finally, Gonzalez took to his own Twitter account to get his last words in.
FYI, its not complaining when you are stating facts. And officials already agreed we were misinformed. #truth #?fromnowon #itfdb

Hopefully, today is the last day of Gonzalez’s ranting over the tournament so that he can begin to focus back in on his primary goal of helping the Dodgers win.
Kenley Jansen Joins Team Netherlands in the WBC
Agon is absolutely right about The WBC.. The format and rules of the game are more akin to High School baseball.. Most of the players are playing for country but still should be afforded the professional rules to which they deserve and are accustomed. I’m sure the managers and owners of the signed players aren’t really wild about their ‘studs’ playing in this fiasco… risking injury..
