After a historic turnaround in the regular season, the postseason is near. While the Dodgers learned yesterday that they were playing the Braves in Atlanta, the MLB finally announced the schedule for Games 1 and 2.
Game 1 of the NLDS will be on Thursday night at 5:37 p.m and Game 2 will be on Friday at 3:07 p.m. Ernie Johnson, Ron Darling, and Cal Ripken will call both games on TBS while Dan Shulman and Orel Hershiser will have the call on ESPN Radio.
While the Braves won five of the seven games during the regular season, it’s important to note that the Braves swept the Dodgers at Turner Field when Los Angeles had Dee Gordon, Nick Punto, and Luis Cruz in the starting lineup. When the second series shifted to Los Angeles, the Dodgers were able to split the series before their incredible run.
Although it came as a surprise that Matt Kemp will be out for the remainder of the season with an ankle injury, he fully believes the Dodgers can win it all without him. While the team played extremely well without him, Kemp was impressive after he was activated off the DL.
Without Kemp and possibly Andre Either, the Dodgers are considering starting Skip Schumaker in center field in Game 1 of the NLDS.
