Dodgers News And Rumors: Arruebarrena Rejoins Team, Starts

[new_royalslider id=”292″]

The Los Angeles Dodgers’ infield has taken a huge blow in the past few weeks. Hanley Ramirez was put on the disabled list when he hurt his oblique on a swing and Juan Uribe went down with a hamstring issue that also caused his to miss time earlier in the season.

With the key players going down, the Dodgers bench became thin as Justin Turner and others have been forced into a starting role. After completing his rehab with the Dodgers Arizona Rookie League team, Erisbel Arruebuena was recalled from the Minors and Carlos Triunfel was optioned back down to Triple-A Albuquerque.

Arruebarrena was immediately inserted into the lineup as he started at shortstop in Tuesday’s win. The 24 year old flashed the strong glove he’s known for and went 1-for-3 with a walk and RBI.
