The Los Angeles Dodgers had three different players suffer injuries recently.
Two of which are starting pitchers Josh Beckett and Hyun-Jin Ryu. According to David Vassegh of AM 570, Beckett won’t be activated from the disabled list until next Tuesday. Beckett was placed on the 15-day DL due to a hip injury.
As far as Ryu, Bill Plunkett of the OC Register reports that Don Mattingly doesn’t think Ryu will pitch in his next scheduled start. However, this does not mean the left-hander will be placed on the DL. Ryu suffered a strained gluteus muscle on Wednesday.
Hanley Ramirez might be in the best state out of all three as he threw on Wednesday. The team feels it will be 7-10 days before Ramirez will play again. Ramirez suffered an oblique strain on Friday against the Brewers.
