Dodgers News And Rumors: Triple-A Team To Relocate

[new_royalslider id=”86″] Albuquerque has been the location for the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Minor League affiliate for 44 years. It may soon come to an end.

According to Michael Baldwin of the Oklahoman, the Dodgers Triple-A team will be moving to Oklahoma City next season as a group affiliated with the Dodgers is reportedly on the verge of purchasing the Oklahoma City RedHawks.

One reason the Dodgers are believed to be interested in leaving Albuquerque is to find a city that will better allow the team to asses their prospects. The thin air of Albuquerque has made it difficult to grade pitching prospects and hitters who are working on reaching the Majors.

If the move is completed, it will be the second time in six years that the Dodgers’ Triple-A affiliate has relocated. Before moving back to Albuquerque, Los Angeles’ Triple-A team was based in Las Vegas.

  1. I think the team will stay in New Mexico. The Oklahoma team will become the L.A. AAA afiliate.
