Dodgers News: Chase Utley Returns to Los Angeles
There are many Dodger fans that had their prayers answered on Friday. The Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed on a one-year deal to bring back 14-year veteran Chase Utley.
Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports, according to a person knowing the circumstances of the situation.

There is no information about how much the deal is worth at this time.
Utley, who just turned 38 in December, hit 14 homers and 52 RBIs last season. He hit .252/.319/.716 in the 2016 season and .278/.361/.833 in his career. In the 2017 season, Utley’s role will be a part-time role at second base and possibly third base.

Utley’s clubhouse presence far outweighs his contributions on the field at this point of his career. His old school leadership gives this Dodgers roster great direction.
