Dodgers News: Clayton Kershaw Gets in Car Accident; Takes Selfie

Most reading this post have been in some kind of car accident, we would assume. Think about things you wouldn’t want to do right afterward: Turn around and get in another one, have an extended conversation with anyone else involved in the accident and — maybe chief among them —  take a selfie with the person who caused the accident.

That is, unless you’re Clayton Kershaw.

According to word going around, Los Angeles Dodgers left-hander and ace Kershaw was involved in a traffic accident sometime today. There’s no word on the asperity of the accident, but it doesn’t sound like it’s anything major or else it’d be all over the news at this point and pandemonium would be ensuing all over social media.

As noted, there is absolutely no word on the severity of said accident right now, but it appears that it was nothing more than a fender-bender at this juncture. Most of us have been in some form of an accident during our time on this earth, and it looks like Kershaw is just another victim of that inevitability.

From Deadspin.com and via Facebook:

Welp…. I guess that’s one way to end our spring training vacation … But if you’re going to get in a car accident… Get in an accident with Clayton Kershaw. We are Banged and bruised, but ultimately alright. Thank you Kershaw for being so nice, Arizona highway patrol for dropping us off and Kahl/Guydos family for taking care of us!!12376656_10101125792654442_1263534247086256645_n

Pictures of the crash (and of course, those selfies) were included in the post, and their car looks pretty mangled. Really glad everyone is okay in all this and it shows the kind of guy Kershaw is that he’d be up for a selfie even after getting rear-ended.

  1. By all accounts, the best pitcher on the planet is also the nicest guy on the planet. Love Kershaw!
