Dodgers News: Clayton Kershaw Unhappy with Rockies Tyler Anderson

Clayton Kershaw stepped on the mound Wednesday night expecting to throw his first pitch at 7:10, as scheduled.

He was unable to do that because the Rockies scheduled starting pitcher, Tyler Anderson, had a late return from the visiting bullpen right as the game was starting, forcing Clayton Kershaw to have to wait for Anderson’s return to his own dugout.

Michael J. Duarte of NBC pointed out that Clayton Kershaw was visibly angry watching Anderson make his way from the bullpen to his dugout, delaying the game and Kershaw’s rhythm.

It is possible that the delay had a minor effect on Kershaw’s first inning, as it was his hardest of the night, surrendering one run and making 27 pitches before getting the third out.

In the end, Kershaw was the real winner, dominating the Rockies for seven innings and racking up 10 strikeouts.

In a postgame interview when asked about the situation with Anderson, Kershaw had a few words to say.

Check out the delay before the game and everything else Kershaw had to say about it below.

The Dodgers were able to finish the Rockies off with a 4-2 win and Kershaw did his usual best. Anderson probably will not be making the same mistake next time he pitches at Dodger Stadium.
