Dodgers News: Curtis Granderson Talks Wrestling on MLB Network

Fans were concerned about the Dodgers’ team chemistry being ruined when the club announced that Curtis Granderson would be joining the team. These fans must have had little knowledge about Granderson because he is one of the most likable guys in all of Major League Baseball. If his personality hasn’t won them over yet, I’m sure his 3 home runs and .367 OBP is doing the trick!

Beyond baseball, Granderson is a big wrestling fan. He caught up with MLB Network’s “Play Ball” to discuss his love for wrestling.

Here are some highlights from the interview:

My grandmother got me into it. She would come into town and babysit me, so my Dad would always record all the different Pay Per Views and at that time, it was Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, Summer Slam and King of The Ring.
The good thing about watching me was she always knew where I was at, but the bad thing, I was practicing these moves on pillows and I was winning. I was undefeated.

Afterwards he provided some private hitting lessons to The Hardy Boyz and Curt Hawkins. Curt Hawkins looks like he’s done this once or twice before. As for the Hardy Boyz… well, see for yourself down below!

For more of Curtis Granderson, check out the SummerSlam edition MLB Network’s “Play Ball” set to August 26th and 1:30 p.m. PT! Even if you’re not a wrestling fan, it is sure to be a must watch if you want to get to know the newest Dodger, Curtis Granderson!
