Dodgers News: Dodgers’ Hanley Ramirez Back In Lineup Against Mets

It’s been a truly wild ride for the Dodgers since they were 30-42 and buried in last place, but since Hanley Ramirez came back after a strained hamstring everything has changed.

The Dodgers are playing with a confidence that has them believing they’ll win every night, even without Hanley in the lineup these past nine games. However, after he took ground balls and batting practice the past couple of days, Hanley will be back in the lineup tonight according to Bill Shaikin of the LA Times:

The Dodgers have won eight of nine without Ramirez, but getting him back in the lineup will move Yasiel Puig back to the number two spot as Hanley will go back to his familiar fourth spot in the order.

So far this season, Ramirez is hitting .359 with 11 home runs and 37 RBIs as the Dodgers are a season high 19 games above .500 and can set their sights on the best record in the NL.

While he admitted that the shoulder pain could linger for the rest of the season, the Dodgers could rest him early on as they’ve built a big enough cushion to play it safe.

Getting Ramirez back will allow for him to regain his timing as the Dodgers hope to finally get back Matt Kemp by the end of August and finally be back at 100 percent.
