Dodgers News: Grandal Leaves Game with Ankle Injury, X-rays Negative

The Los Angeles Dodgers were dealt another heartbreaking loss in San Diego on Saturday as they lost to the Padres 3-2 on a walkoff walk in extra innings. To add insult to injury Dodgers catcher Yasmani Grandal left the game during the 10th inning after fouling a ball off his right ankle.

Injuries have plagued the Dodgers this season with multiple players on the DL. In fact, Adrian Gonzalez (lower back tightness) finally returned to action Saturday after missing four consecutive games. Although Grandal’s initial x-rays came back negative, A.J. Ellis will start on Sunday for the series finale vs. the Padres. Grandal was 0-4 in the Dodgers loss.

The Dodgers will close out the series vs. the Padres before returning home for a 3-game stretch at Dodger Stadium.

  1. Wood was terrific.  Tsao…not so much.  Did the Dodgers forget to bring their offense on this short road trip?  For that matter, do they even have an offense?

  2. Bleed Blue Forever  TSAO WALKED 3 … BAD MANAGER DECISION TO LEAVE HIM IN … I’d LIKE TSAO TO WALK THE FRONT OFFICE OUT THE DOOR!  4 HITS IN 11 INNINGS?
