Dodgers News: Grandal’s Health, Front Office Additions and More | VIDEO

The Los Angeles Dodgers added key members to the staff this week bringing on pitching legend Greg Maddux and Raul Ibanez.

The two former baseball veterans were hired as special assistants to President of Baseball Operations Andrew Friedman. The Dodgers say Maddux and Ibanez will help with player development and scouting.

Both hold a lot of knowledge under their belts, and is something valuable the Dodgers now own. Scouting prospects is key, but another good thing to have is healthy players. Fortunately for the Dodgers, catcher Yasmani Grandal will be added to that list soon.

Grandal underwent left shoulder surgery and is done with rehabilitation and claims he is ahead of schedule. He tells TrueBlueLA.com that he will begin field-hitting this week.
