The clock struck midnight again for the Los Angeles Dodgers Saturday as they lost yet another player to injury.

Justin Turner started at third base with Juan Uribe receiving a day off for the first time since returning from the disabled list June 26.

With Andre Ethier standing on first base following a single, Turner doubled just inside the right field line to score Ethier and give the Dodgers a 2-0 lead in second inning. As Turner rounded first base, he grabbed at his hamstring and was immediately removed from the game.

The Dodgers announced Turner in fact suffered a hamstring strain:

Earning more playing time while Uribe was on the DL, Turner had come into his own and was swinging a hot bat, particularly in June.

Despite battling a calf strain, Turner is hitting .400 in the month of June. The utility infielder has also excelled as a pinch-hitter and delivered a key hit in the Dodgers’ win Thursday.

In what wound up being a six-run second inning for the Dodgers, Hanley Ramirez was also taken out of the game. The reasoning for Ramirez’s removal was not immediately provided, though the FOX broadcast indicated he was dealing with cramps earlier in the day.

Ramirez was back in the lineup after missing the previous four days due to irritation in his right shoulder. Juan Uribe took over at third base and Miguel Rojas was inserted at shortstop.
