Dodgers News: Joc Pederson Giving Away His Car At Home Game

[new_royalslider id=”50″] Joc Pedgerson is in the process of attempting to become the first Pacific Coast League to hit 30 home runs and steal 30 bases in one season since Frank Demaree did so in 1934.

Pederson has already surpassed the 30 home run mark, hitting his 31st of the season in the Istopes loss on Thursday night. The center fielder is stuck on 28 stolen bases and stole his last on Aug. 16.

Since that point, Pederson has been caught stealing in three of the last five games. Pederson is having another impressive season in the Minors, with this being his first in Triple-A Albuquerque.

Los Angeles Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti stated Pederson is likely to join the Major League team when rosters expand on Sept. 1.

Via J.P. Hoornstra of the LA Daily News Group, here’s the Isotopes’ press release for the giveaway:

The car, nicknamed “Little Chucky,” has only 166,000 miles on it and has at least one operable window, which is really all you need. It is perfect for cruising around during the New Mexico summers with its “awesome” stereo system and lack of air conditioning. Kelly Blue Book estimates the value at nearly $1,000 (depending on if it has a full tank of gas). Little Chucky will also come with two complimentary air fresheners and whatever else Pederson forgets to clean out.The Isotopes guarantee 100 percent that this distinctive car will carry you all the way to your next destination out of the Isotopes Park parking lot. A satisfactory safety inspection has been completed on the vehicle.

On Aug. 29, fans can enter for a chance to win the car during the game on the concourse in front of the Isotopes Pro Shop. The car will be given away on the field following the game and just prior to that night’s fireworks show. Contestants must be 18 years of age with a valid drivers license, and the winner is responsible for all license and registrations fees, as well as any taxes. The winner agrees to accept the vehicle “as is.”
