Dodgers News: Joc Pederson Placed on 15-Day DL, Brandon McCarthy Returns Slated to Start Sunday
The Los Angeles Dodgers announced on Friday that they have placed Joc Pederson on the 15-day disabled list. Pederson was diagnosed with a sprained right AC joint and joins ace Clayton Kershaw on the DL.
Pederson left the game early vs. the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday after making an outstanding catch on the run in center. After crashing into the wall he had to leave the game.
The Dodgers announcement comes before the start of the Dodgers longest home stand before the All-Star break.

The good news is that Pederson should be back after the All-Star break. Also, with so many key players going down due to injury the Dodgers have activated Bud Norris and called up Will Venable.

Despite the Dodgers acquiring Bud Norris, the Dodgers still needed more pitchers to fill out the rotation. Fortunately, pitcher Brandon McCarthy is set to make his return and his debut on Sunday. Julio Urias will get 5 days rest and pitch for the series opener vs. the Baltimore Orioles on July 4th.
