Dodgers News: Joe Davis’ Home Run Call, Jacob Scavuzzo, Justin Marks

During the Dodgers back-to-back-to-back home runs that mounted their epic walk-off comeback against the Philadelphia Phillies, Joe Davis left us with the call of “Absolute madness” that just might be planted in every Dodger fans head for years to come.

Sports Net LA gave us a look at what both Joe Davis and Justin Turner experienced during the magical night.

Dodgers double-A outfield prospects Jacob Scavuzzo had a career night for the Tulsa Drillers, going 3-for-4 with a grand slam. Johan Mieses also added a 3-run home run of his own.

Finally, left-handed pitcher Justin Marks, whom the Dodgers claimed off of waivers from the Tampa Bay Rays has been added to the Oklahoma City Dodgers roster. Marks being added to the Dodgers 40-man roster moved outfielder Andre Ethier to the 60-day disabled list.

  1. I’ve been a Dodger fan since I was a child and can recall the exploits of Pee Wee Reese, Jackie Robinson, Duke Snider, Don Larsen, as well as many others through the years. Obviously, I’ve been listening to Vin Scully for many, many years. I think that Joe Davis is a good announcer. He and Orel Herschiser often praise Vinny as one of the greatest announcers ever. So why have they become Dodger cheerleaders? In all the years I listened to Vinny, he never cheered for the Dodgers. He never referred to the Dodgers as “we.” He left that type of cheerleading to the Giants’, White Sox’, and other announcers. So, Joe, please just announce. Orel, just analyze. Can the cheerleading!
