The Los Angeles Dodgers host Game 2 against the Colorado Rockies tonight with Julio Urias on the mound. The 19-year-old will make his home debut after two rough starts on the road against the New York Mets and the Chicago Cubs.
Urias was recalled early last week after being back in the minors for a short time. He sat down with TWCSportsnet for Backstage Dodgers to discuss his road to the majors and how it feels to finally get his chance to take the mound at Dodger Stadium.
“It’s all the news baseball players in the minors want to hear,” he said of being recalled. “It’s everyone’s dream to get that call.”

Although he struggled in previous major league starts, the team and fans are hoping for a new start with Urias’ home debut to earn himself a permanent spot in the rotation.
