Dodgers News: Kenta Maeda Takes Monthly Honors
The Los Angeles Dodgers are second in the NL West behind the San Francisco Giants, and look to reclaim their position at the top. Unfortunately, the month of April was not kind to the Boys in Blue as they finished with a 12-15 record in the month of April.
There were some bright spots like pitchers Clayton Kershaw and Kenta Maeda. Maeda made such an impression, Bleacher Report analyzed the Dodgers and named him pitcher and rookie of the month for the Dodgers.
From Joel Reuter, Bleacher Report Featured Columnist:
Pitcher of the Month
Kenta Maeda (3-1, 1.41 ERA, 0.938 WHIP, 28 K, 32.0 IP)
Rookie of the Month
Kenta Maeda (3-1, 1.41 ERA, 0.938 WHIP, 28 K, 32.0 IP)
Maeda did put up some impressive numbers, especially when put into consideration the price the Dodgers paid for him.

Kenta Maeda will start on Friday in Toronto. Dodgers wanted him to face RHP gauntlet, rather than Alex Wood.

The Dodgers will face the Blue Jays for a 3-game series before returning back to Dodger Stadium for a nine game home stand vs. the New York Mets, St. Louis Cardinals and Angels of Anaheim.
