Dodgers News: Kershaw, Seager and Jansen Enjoy Day 1 of the MLB All-Star Break

The Los Angeles Dodgers have wrapped up their four game series against the San Diego Padres winning the series 3-1. Officially half way into the season, the team is getting ready for the All-Star game this year by attending media sessions and preparing with their new uniforms.

Unfortunately, Clayton Kershaw had to miss his media session due to his back injury. He is currently rehabbing, but the team hopes he will return in time for the second rotation in the All-Star break.

Before heading down to San Diego the Dodgers All-Stars received their uniforms for the midsummer classic.

While in San Diego both Jansen and Seager attended their media sessions. This is Jansen’s and Seager’s first time being selected to the All-Star game.

Seager will be participating in the home run derby as well as serving as reserve in the All-Star Game on Tuesday.

Looking at the first season stats the Dodgers closed out their home stand strong. They won 7 of their last 10 games and are now 6.5 games back behind the San Francisco Giants for first place in the NL West.

The Dodgers next game is on the road on July 15th vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks. It will be the start of a 9-game road trip for the Boys in Blue.
