Dodgers News: Kobe Bryant Tweets Support For Yasiel Puig In ASG

Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig still trails Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman in the NL Final Vote contest. Puig has dazzled in just over a month at the big league level and has everyone clamoring for his inclusion in the All-Star Game.

Several celebrities including Olivia Munn, George Lopez and the Dodgers own Hanley Ramirez have tweeted their support for Puig going to New York. However, Lakers guard Kobe Bryant was the latest to voice his support for Puig:

Puig has taken over the LA sports landscape since he was called up on June 3 and has shown that he has the star power needed for success in LA.

So far this season, Puig is hitting .409 with eight home runs and 19 RBIs as the Dodgers have climbed into second place and find themselves just 3.5 games behind the Diamondbacks.

Bryant has been seen at an Angel game this summer, but Puig could be the player that brings him out to Chavez Ravine as he recovers from a torn Achilles.
