Dodgers News: Magic Johnson Honored by Colin Powell Foundation
Today, the Dodgers announced that co-owner Magic Johnson will be honored tonight by General Colin Powell’s foundation – America’s Promise Alliance.
The foundation is focused on helping to level the playing field for all young people, so that they can succeed in today’s world. A network of partnerships with companies from all different industries, this Alliance is hoping to help children by providing them a safe and healthy environment to learn the skills necessary for future success.

For Magic Johnson, this adds to his post-basketball career trophy case. We all know the work he has done in Los Angeles with his Starbucks locations and Magic Johnson theaters. Teaching young adults the value of hard work and giving them the opportunity to learn all aspects of business.
“I encourage young people across the country to get their education,” Johnson said. “Knowledge is something that can never be taken away from them.”
We at Dodgers Nation are proud to support an organization that have leaders who want to make our community better.
