Dodgers News: Rich Hill Dodger Debut, Rob Segedin Baby Debut

With Rich Hill starting on the mound tonight for the Los Angeles Dodgers, this marks the 14th pitcher to start a game for the Boys in Blue this season. They led the MLB with 16 different starters used last season and are on track to do the same this year due to the massive amount of injuries that have hit the pitching staff.

This will be the first time that Rich Hill will be pitching as a Dodgers due to a blister on his throwing hand. It will be exciting to see what Hill can do on the hill tonight against the Giants. Take a look at his numbers for Oakland earlier this season before he went down on the DL.

But with every addition to the Dodger team, someone must be taken off. Following the birth of his son, Robinson, Rob Segedin will take some time off to spend time at home with his family. But, he will return Thursday!

Last night, Rob was replaced in the outfield in the top of 8th inning as he rushed over to the hospital to be with his wife as she was finally giving birth to his son!

He made it over just in time to meet his son!

It will be interesting to see who the Dodgers will send down once Segedin comes back. But for now, let’s just worry about beating the Giants!
