Dodgers News: Ross Stripling Collects Keepsakes, Dinner After First Win

Ross Stripling put his name on the map after not giving up a hit in his first start. Since then he’s had a series of solid outings, but until last night he hadn’t collected his first win.

For last night’s start, Stripling squared off against the rival St. Louis Cardinals and his college roommate, Michael Wacha. He gave up 4 runs in the outing, but fortunately for him, the Dodger offense gave him plenty of run support and he earned the win. This afternoon Stripling took to Twitter to show off his keepsakes from yesterday’s game that was full of firsts.

The haul includes his game ball, his first hit ball, and the lineup card from the night signed by manager Dave Roberts. As Vin Scully informed us during the game, the two friends, Wacha and Stripling had a wager over the game… loser buys dinner. Ross was eager to collect on that, too.

A nice night for the Dodgers, who won 8-4, and an unforgettable one for rookie Ross Stripling.
