Following a 3-2 loss to the Giants last night, reliever Brian Wilson voiced his displeasure about not receiving his 2012 World Series ring with Giants CEO, Larry Baer according to Andrew Baggarly of CSN Bay Area.
This morning, Baer went on the “Murph and Mac” show in San Francisco and confirmed the heated exchange was indeed regarding the championship ring and also mentioned that the Giants tried numerous times to set-up meetings with Wilson to get him his ring.
Since the Dodgers and Giants won’t face each other again this season and both sides were unable to have a private meeting, Wilson’s championship ring was given to a Dodgers official before the team left San Francisco.
