Dodgers News: Spring Training Schedule At Camelback Ranch Released

Home games for the Los Angeles Dodgers during Spring Training at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Ariz., have been preliminarily released. The Dodgers will open Spring Training on February 27 with a game against their new heated rivals, the Arizona Diamondbacks, in their first meeting since the poolgate incident and the recent comments from D’Backs owner about payback against the Dodgers.

The Dodgers will play against the D’Backs, Chicago White Sox (Feb. 28, March 12), San Diego Padres (March 2,15), Seattle Mariners (March 4,8), Texas Rangers (March 7), San Francisco Giants (March 9), Oakland A’s (March 10, Cincinnati Reds (March 13) and Colorado Rockies (March 16).

Their final game at the Ranch will be on March 16 because the Dodgers will be kicking off the 2014 season early with a two-game series against the D’Backs in Sydney, Australia on March 22 and 23.

It was last season during the spring where Dodgers phenom Yasiel Puig starting his pursuit of a spot on the roster, but he began the 2013 season at Double A Chattanooga. Players like Zack Lee, Joc Pederson and Ross Stripling will get a chance to show they’re ready to take the next step, granted they aren’t traded during the off-season.

The Dodgers have yet to release their 2014 away spring training schedule.
