The piece will be part of the “Historias Detras…” series that originally began as an interview show that focused on Latin soccer players. The series recently had a special with Los Angeles Lakers center Pau Gasol, but while the series will still primarily focus on soccer players, it took a look into the life of Puig for tonight’s special.
The series is known for getting in-depth with its’ players and taking the audience into the lives of their favorite players. Los Angeles and the Dodgers were swept into a frenzy with Puig this season, as his arrival coincided with the team’s turnaround from last place to NL West champions. Puig became an instant superstar and celebrity in Los Angeles, but now viewers will get a look at his background.
Puig has made himself available this off-season and has been seeing partying with celebrities, visiting children’s hospitals and hosting clinics at Dodger Stadium. He’s even become one of the latest celebrity Laker fans and can be seen at their home games regularly.
The special tonight should bring his fans closer and get a sense of who Puig really is and aid in his continued rise into Los Angeles icon.
