The Dodgers have made the Chase Utley signing official, announcing so on their official Twitter page.

Despite all the news and rumors swirling around the organization, it’s been a quiet Winter Meetings official for the team, with Utley being the biggest and really, only, official acquisition.

ICYMI: Dodgers’ Acquiring Chapman Could Backfire

Here’s their official announcement.

The Dodgers will still have plenty of work to do, as it’s doubtful they want Utley, Jose Peraza or Kike Hernandez as their only solutions at second base. Combine that with their search for more starting pitching and the bullpen help they seem to be desperately searching for and we could be in for a wild couple of days as the Winter Meetings wrap up.

Congratulations to Utley, as this might be one of the last contracts he’ll sign and he has the opportunity to wrap up a phenomenal career on the west coast, where he reportedly preferred to wind up.

First and foremost, I love everything Los Angeles. I was born and raised as such. There is video of me, hardly a year old, saying my version of "goooo Dodgers" as my parents cheered alongside me. I could not possibly be more proud to hold this position as we at DodgersNation look forward to enhancing the Dodgers fan experience in any way we possibly can.
