Dodgers News: Yasiel Puig Cleared To Practice
Yesterday, Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig had to miss the first full squad workout of the spring due to having his wisdom teeth removed on Tuesday. Today it was learned that the talented right fielder has now been cleared to resume practice and go through the workouts with the team.
Having your wisdom teeth removed is no joke. Anyone who has gone through it can tell you just how terrible you feel for the next several days after having the procedure done, so Puig missing the first few days after the surgery is really not even a big deal in the least.

The 25-year old outfielder needs to be as healthy as can be this season if the team, and he, have any chance of being successful. Puig is trying to rebound from a tumultuous 2015 season in which he missed a major amount of time due to various hamstring issues. He needs to be out there this year.
What he’s going through with his wisdom teeth being removed is pretty much a normal occurrence for a lot of people, so seriously don’t view this as him trying to skip out on workouts for the sake of being lazy or anything like that. It’s a medical procedure that had to be done and he probably had little say.
Hopefully Puig is able to get out there today and tomorrow while showing off just how great in shape he happens to be. He’s slated to be the team’s full-time right fielder again, and the team is hopeful he can regain his 2013 or 2014 form. The season kicks off on April 4th, and Puig will be out there barring any unforeseen calamities.
