Dodgers Rumors: Dodgers Interested in Mets’ Addison Reed

The Dodgers have been looking to beef up their pitching staff, with Friday’s rumors being centered around Yu Darvish. Los Angeles has also been interested in adding a relief pitcher, such as Zach Britton 0r Brad Hand.

Most recently, Buster Olney reported that the Dodgers were interested in making a deal with the Mets for Addison Reed.

Addison Reed has an ERA of 2.35 with 16 saves and 47 strikeouts over 46 innings in 2017. He doesn’t get a heavy workload from the Mets, with only 9.2 innings in the last month. However he has been solid and may serve as a great set up guy for the Dodgers, specifically Kenley Jansen.

Amongst all of the rumors we’ve heard, this one might be one of the cheaper ones. Should the Dodgers’ decide against moving prospects like Alex Verdugo or Willie Calhoun, they might be able to make this deal happen while still keeping those guys.

Addison Reed is also a rental, which decreases his value, in terms of prospects, even more. Still not sold on him? Check out the video below to see him in action!
