As the Los Angeles Dodgers fight to generate some momentum, two teammates on their Triple-A team reportedly were involved in an altercation in the dugout during the eight inning of Tuesday’s game with the Salt Lake Bees.

With the Albuquerque Isotopes playing the finale of their four-game away series, Steve Luhm of the Salt Lake Tribune reported a halt in the action due to the Isotopes teammates fight:

According to Luhm, the altercation may have been between Alex Guerrero and Miguel Olio:

Following the incident, Guerrero was pinch-hit for and Olivo was replaced at catcher in the bottom half of the inning. Heading into the season, many expected Guerrero to earn the starting job at second base, as he was another splashy off-season signing and is Cuban, which instantly drew comparisons to Yasiel Puig’s success.

The infielder would battle minor injury issues however, and landed in the minors as Dee Gordon surged ahead in the competition. Olivio was a non-roster invitee in Spring Training, didn’t make the roster for the Opening Series in Australia and initially refused to accept his Minor League assignment.

Olivo wound up reporting to the Isotopes and received a call up while A.J. Ellis was on the disabled list and Tim Federowicz struggled at the plate. The 13-year veteran had an instant impact on the team, but cooled off with the bat after playing in his first three games with the Dodgers. Olivo was then optioned back to Triple-A when Ellis was reinstated from the DL.
