Dodgers Rumors: Team Showed Interest In Mark Melancon During Trade Deadline

According to David Vassegh of AM 570 Sports, the Dodgers have had serious talks with the Pittsburgh Pirates about one closer named Mark Melancon. The 31-year-old pitcher had an overall record of 2-2 with 47 saves while playing with the Washington Nationals and Pirates.

Melancon was traded to the Nationals but the Dodgers had talks with the Pirates during the trade deadline. This could be a possibility that the Dodgers will still be interested.

Previously, the San Francisco Giants have been pursuing Melancon along with Kenley Jansen and Aroldis Chapman.

The Giants better watch their backs as the Dodgers are trying to enhance their bullpen for next season.
