Dodgers Social: Fans Come Out for Vin Scully and the Dodgers Opening Day

The Los Angeles Dodgers finally hosted their home opener versus the Arizona Diamondbacks beginning the first of a three-game series. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a happy homecoming as the Dodgers fell to the Diamondbacks 2-4 despite a strong performance from pitcher Kenta Maeda.

It was a bitter sweet moment fans as April 12th marked the last home opener for legendary announcer Vin Scully who heads into his 67th and final season with the Dodgers. On Monday the Dodgers and the City of Los Angeles unveiled Vin Scully Avenue.

That was just one of the many highlights from Opening Day.
