Dodgers To Play 3 Games Against The Padres In Mexico
Want to watch your boys in blue beat down on the Padres and vacation at the same time? Say no more!
Bill Shaiken of the Los Angeles Times reported on Sunday that the Dodgers will play a three-game series against the Padres in Mexico. The games will take place during the 2018 regular season from May 4th to May 6th in Monterrey, Mexico. The Dodgers will be the visiting team, but something tells me it’s going to feel like a home game for them based on the color in the stands.
According to Shaiken, both teams have played in Monterrey before, the Dodgers in 1991 and the Padres in 1996. He also goes on to report Major League Baseball plans on expanding internationally over the next four seasons, citing other locations like Puerto Rico, Asia, and the United Kingdom.
The last time the Dodgers played internationally was back in 2014 when they opened the season against the Diamondbacks in Australia. However, arguably the best thing to come out of that series was this clip of Vin Scully!
