Dodgers Video: A Look At The Flight To Australia And First Workout

The Los Angeles Dodgers are in the early stages of their trip to Sydney, Australia and it’s already hard to keep the days and times straight. After arriving, the team held a workout at the Sydney Cricket Ground as a way to acclimate to the time change and also get a look at the site of the Opening Series.

Dee Gordon and Don Mattingly discussed the conditions, discussing how the ball was flying out. However, after their second workout the wind completely shifted and balls that were going out at first, were staying in the park. Tonight/Tomorrow the Dodgers will field a team against Team Australia as Zach Lee or Red Patterson will get the start.



While the Dodgers have immersed themselves in Australian culture by taking pictures with kangaroos and koala bears, it’s clear they’re all business on the baseball field. Here’s a behind the scenes look at the flight, first workout and other cool things the team is doing in Australia:
